Kimberley Goode thrives on tackling tough challenges and developing the talent needed to address them. She currently serves as Senior Vice President of External Affairs for Blue Shield of California, a nonprofit health plan with more than $20 billion in annual revenue serving more than 4 million members in commercial, individual and government markets. In this role, she champions transforming health care to improve access, affordability and quality for all and collaborates with senior staff to drive social impact across the state of California. She serves on the company’s strategy committee and Diversity & Inclusion Council and is the executive champion for the Black Employee Network.
Goode has vast experience in large global companies in multiple industries, including financial services, consumer packaged goods, travel and technology. She is a powerful storyteller who drives business results through integrated communication, reputation management, brand building, corporate social responsibility, culture, diversity and inclusion.
She is actively engaged professionally and in the community with a number of organizations, including the Executive Leadership Council, the Bay Area Council, Children Now Leadership Council and California Women Lead Advisory Council, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and The Links, Inc. She also mentors students, emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.
Goode earned her Bachelor of Science in journalism from Northwestern University where she was active with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and led the university’s Blacks in Communication student organization. She and her husband Andre have three children.
